Mexico 1992 Series

The 1992 series brought the return of reflectorized plates, this time for good. The serial format was also changed to ABC1234 to accomodate the growing number of vehicle registrations, though the DF continued to use 123ABC. This series, like the 1986 series, was officially slated to be used for 6 years (through the end of 1997), though individual states used it longer, the last finally replacing it at the end of 2001.
